Extreme weather increases exposure to water-borne disease, disrupts health services and deepens stress for communities already facing unequal access to care. This project brings health protection and climate action together, with women, girls and children at its centre.

Trained community health workers and local organisations in water management, sanitation and hygiene promotion.
Partnered with health facilities and the Ministry of Health to support distribution of mosquito nets and strengthen SRHR access.
Provided relief supplies to families affected by disasters in Mzimba District.
Launched Green School activities that combine hands-on environmental learning, tree planting and pupil- and teacher-led Green Clubs.
